The Dixie Regional Pediatric Rehabilitation program provides children and their caregivers with therapy and progesional support to help each child reach his or her full potential. Services are available from newborn to age 21, with many of the children receiving care from more than one therapist, depending on their needs. Â Children are treated with a variety of conditions including: Autism, developmental delays, sensory modulation disorders, and more.
Pediatric Rehabilitation has available speech-language therapists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. A doctor referral is needed prior to visits. Â Forms and information for parents/ caregivers to fill out prior to their first visit are available in pdf form via their website.
Our speech-language therapists help children with language development, auditory processing and swallowing skills. They help children understand and communicate well with others. Learn more about our speech therapy program here.
Our occupational therapists teach children self-care skills, such as how to dress, bathe, and groom themselves. They also help children use their hands in a coordinated way to play and to write and to correctly process information they receive through each of their senses. Learn more about our occupational therapy program here.
Our physical therapists help children with muscle strength and tone, coordination, balance, and successfully moving around their environment. They can also help cast and fit children for orthotics. Learn more about our physical therapy program here.
